Florida welcomes Toledo into the Swamp

Jeff Driskel is back at QB for the Gators

The first game of the season is today at the Swamp.  The Toledo Rockets come into Gainesville to face the Gators.  The game is broadcast locally on WPCH (Atlanta) and also can be watched on ESPN3 online.

Tim Tebow released by the Jets

Best news this Gator fan has heard all week !  

The Jets released Tim Tebow today (FINALLY!).  Tim deserves much better than the way he was treated in the past year. I am sure he is a better person because of this, but I am glad they released him!   I can't wait to see where he goes from him.

Spring Football Practice begins March 13th

The University of Florida football team is scheduled to begin 2013 spring practices on Wednesday, March 13. The football team will open two practice sessions to the public, on Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16 at the Sanders Football Practice Fields. (click to read more)

Gators beat Jacksonville State 23-0

It was the last home game for the seniors on the Gator football team yesterday and they led the team to victory over Jacksonville State.  It was Senior Day and a game everyone expected the Gators to win.  The final score was 23-0.  Now on to the biggest game of the month, next Saturday at Florida State.  This should be interesting!

Gators play UL at 12:21 today!

The Gators are done in SEC play, and have three more games to finish the regular season.  The biggest game of the three will be on Saturday after Thanksgiving when the Gators face the #10 FSU Seminoles.  Also on the horizon is the post-season bowl game and a lot of that depends on the Georgia Bulldogs and their game against Auburn tonight.  If Georgia loses tonight, the Gators will play for the SEC championship in Atlanta. 
The Gators (led by quarterback Jeff Driskell) play the University of Louisiana today at 12:21 and the game will be broadcast on the SEC network.  Hopefully we will get to watch it on Peachtree TV here in Atlanta.
