Gators win over Wildcats, 41-7

Florida handled the Kentucky wildcats so well in the first half that the game was "over" by halftime. Kentucky's defense played well in the second half, but their offense could get nothing going. Click to read the recap at ESPN

Tebow has Meyer's back

Are you ready for some football? After reading the news this week, did the new coach of the Tennessee "open mouth, insert foot?" Click link to read: Lane Kiffin, be warned: You mess with the coach, you get the quarterback.

The top college football players are highlighted in this article from the New York Times. In this age of cell phones, Twitter and Facebook, they never know when they might appear on the web. It is a shame that Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow and others have to go through this to protect their integrity. But I am glad they have a head on their shoulders and know how to "run for cover." Gators over Troy Trojans, 56-6

The biggest surprise of the day was not the score, but that I was able to watch this game in Georgia. It was the SEC game of the week on Peachtree TV! The first quarter was a mess, but the Gators came alive in the 2nd quarter to outscore the Trojans with 28 unanswered points. Halftime score was 35-3.
