The 'Ol Ball Coach against the Young Whippersnapper!
And we have a new quarterback - at least for now. Tyler Murphy was injured in the last game - he took over after Jeff Driscoll was injured in the Tennessee game. Skyler Mornhinweg, freshman QB from Philadelphia area, took over this week against the Gamecocks and I thought he did well in his first game.
Of course, the game was more of a match-up of between the former Gator player and coach Steve Spurrier and the newest Gator coach Will Muschamp - it was more like the 'Ol Ball Coach against the Young Whippersnapper! Click link to read "Freshman Faces"

Post game blahs
The Gators were down but not out. After a miserable first half, the Gators were 20 points behind the Georgia Bulldogs and they came back out of the locker room and played an exciting second half. They came up just short, and we were left to wonder what could have been... If only the two field goal tries earlier in the game had been scores, then the Gators would have won by 3, but instead we lost a close one 23-20 on Saturday.
Now the Gators are 4-4 for the season (no one expected this) and have some work to do... read more at Gatorsports.com "Gators have different goals now"

Florida - Georgia Game today at 3:30 PM in Jacksonville, Florida
Big game of the year as the Gators face the Bulldogs in Jacksonville - the Florida-Georgia game at 3:30 pm today on CBS. Based on all the media, news articles, etc up here in Georgia it would appear that the Gators are the underdogs this year. Georgia is favored by 3-6 points to win this one. With all the injuries on both teams this season, I think it is a toss up and could go either way. GO GATORS!
