Today is the big game of the year , at least to date - Florida needs this win in order to secure their path to the SEC East Championship. If the Gators play as well as they did two weeks ago against LSU, I think they can pull this off and win. Game
LSU Coach Les Miles is known as "the Mad Hatter" and he pulled another "trick play" out of the hat last night. Not a new trick, but one that ended in the winning touchdown last night. LSU was set up to kick the ball away on 4th down, but instead of planting the ball, the holder threw the ball to the kicker - who then scored the go-ahead touchdown. Gators QB Treon Harris played with confidence, this being his first starting game of the season. And the Gator defense played well until the trick play that is. Gators lose 35-28.
What a difference one week makes! A lot of interesting things in the news for Gator fans to ponder. The old ball coach, Steve Spurrier, resigned as coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks. QB Will Grier was suspended for possibly a year after finding out he took an over the counter supplement with a banned substance. The team is hopefully focused on the game before them - the LSU Tigers will be a tough team to beat. I predict QB Treon Harris will step up to the challenge.
The Gators travel to Missouri to face the Tigers tonight at 7:30 PM EDT. After a great game last week, with the Gators beating the Ole Miss Rebels 38-10, we can expect another win tonight - at least if they keep playing like last week.
Coach McElwain said this week that he is "interested to see if our team is a one-hit wonder, you know, like The Cyrkle with 'Red Rubber Ball' (See link below)
