GATORS DEFEAT BULLDOGS (SAMFORD) 70-52!

T
Wow! the Gators started  this game  behind Samford Bulldogs until the second half.  It seemed everytime Samfors scored, the Gators would then answer.  Coach must have given them a good old pep talk at halftime. They finally pulled away and took the lead  with a final score 70-52!  The Gators are now 5-5 for the season and we hope they finish strong!

Florida Gators Hold on to no. 11

Proud of the Gators as they played their hearts out and almost pulled off an amazing comeback...

just two points shy of tying the game at the end...the Gators lost to Alabama 31-29 .  What if they had not missed the extra point earlier in the game???  what if  there was no interception thrown in the game...No we don't expect a perfect game and there were too many silly penalties (Gators are a young team and will learn from their mistakes).  Good news they did not fall (or move down ) in the ratings and are still at no. 11 with nowhere to go but UP...and if they can beat Georgia they will probably have  a matchup with Alabama again for the SEC Championship game.. GO GATORS!

Tebow retires from baseball

Looks like the end of an era, as Tim Tebow retired from professional baseball this week.  I am not sure what he has planned  next but it appears he will not be playing any sport.  I assume he will continue his broadcasting career with the SEC (ESPN) channel.   click to read more from gatorsports.com

Gators bowled over by Sooners

With 20 players skipping the Cotton Bowl in Texas, it was no surprise the Gators were bowled over by the Sooners... not a pretty game to watch - pretty sad that Kyle Trask had no receivers to catch the ball but it is what it is...I assume the Gators made some money playing the game anyway.
