Gators loss hard to take

Like the headline below implies, had the Gators won the game Saturday night at LSU, they would have moved up the polls, maybe close to #1. This loss was pretty hard to swallow, but they will have to pick up the pieces and move on. There is much more football to be played. I was glad to hear the local ESPN radio broadcasters complaining about the fans and their bad language at the LSU game. I sure hope our Gator fans have more class than the Tiger fans. It seems they were making cheers out of bad, vulgar taunts. There are too many kids in the stands, not to mention the women, to have to hear that during a game. Of course, most of it was chants about Tim Tebow. Tebow may not be the best quarterback to ever play at Florida, but he is on his way to becoming a legend. Not bad for a guy who was home-schooled. He also has a strong Christian testimony, so maybe that is what ticked the LSU fans off. Another article below explains why he pretended to use a cell phone after his touchdown run.

The 1 that got away
Urban Meyer described last week's heartbreaking loss to Auburn as a full-frontal body blow.

UF's Tebow receives threatening calls
On Tuesday, Florida's quarterback downplayed receiving hundreds of threatening messages left on his cell phone last week, presumably from LSU fans.
